We at JC Wise Chemist now offer on-site COVID-19 testing for patients.

We offer private COVID-19 PCR testing which can be used for:

– Traveling out of the U.K. to countries that require a negative PCR test result.
– Employers that need to test employees for the workplace.
– Safety when visiting vulnerable people.

PCR tests are designed to diagnose individuals with an active infection rather than attempting to uncover those who are/were asymptomatic.

Unlike antibody testing, which seeks to detect the presence of antibodies produced by the immune system in response to the virus, PCR tests detect the virus’s genetic material, more specifically RNA fragments, in an attempt to diagnose existing virus infection.

How it works

The sampling process involves taking a swab of the throat and tonsils, and a swab of both nostrils with the same swab.

If required by your employer or travel agent, we can also help with registering the test kit in order to receive the RT PCR test certificate. The results certificate contains patient details, time of the report, time and date of test conducted, passport number as well as the result of the test.

Turnaround time for receiving results is usually between one to two days.
